Singer QUITS The Mormon Tabernacle Choir Over Donald Trump Inauguration Performance — See Her Heated Resignation Post!

In terms of musical performances, Donald Trump‘s inauguration is turning out to have as much entertainment as a Ku Klux Klan parade.

Not only was the President-elect unable to secure any headlining talent for his upcoming swear-in (nothing against 2010 America’s Got Talent runner-up Jackie Evancho, but she’s certainly no Beyonc├â┬⌐), but he can’t even get a full choir to sing in his honor!

A member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir says she has resigned from the famed vocal group over its decision to perform at Trump’s inauguration next month.

On Thursday, Jan Chamberlin shared her resignation letter to choir leaders on Facebook, saying that the 360-member group would appear to be “endorsing tyranny and facism [sic]” by performing at the upcoming inaugural.

Chamberlin, who has been with the choir for five years, said the group’s participation in the inauguration would “severely damage” its “image and networking,” and that singing for Trump would go against her morals. She added:

“I only know I could never ‘throw roses to Hitler.’ And I certainly could never sing for him.”

Church spokesman Eric Hawkins told The Salt Lake Tribune that participation in the choir and the inaugural performance is voluntary, noting:

“Only a limited number of choir members are participating (the number is limited by the inaugural committee), and none are required to participate.”

The choir previously sang at inaugural ceremonies for George H. W. Bush, Richard Nixon, and Lyndon Johnson as well as performed in inaugural parades for George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. So, it does sound like they have some sort of right-wing obligation…

If Donald still needs some extra performers, we have a feeling it’s not too late to get Alec Baldwin to come sing Highway to Hell! Ha!
