This is truly HIGH-larious!
Just a few weeks away from Donald Trump‘s inauguration on January 20, the D.C. Cannabis Coalition announced it will hand out a whopping 4,200 free joints to attendees.
You might say it’s an “unpresidented” move!
As we previously reported, D.C. legalized marijuana back in 2015, so there’s no roadblocks standing in the coalition’s way. The group will hand out the green on the west side of Dupont Circle, which is just steps away from the main event.
According to the coalition, the goal is to encourage the legalization of weed on the federal level. Coalition founder Adam Eidinger explained:
“The main message is it’s time to legalize cannabis at the federal level.”
Well, we think this message will be received loud and
clear hazy — protesters are encouraged to light up at 4 minutes and 20 seconds into the Donald’s speech! LOLz!
Eidinger also went on to reveal why he’s scared of Trump’s attorney general pick Jeff Sessions, revealing:
“We are looking at a guy who as recently as April said that they are going to enforce federal law on marijuana all over the country. He said marijuana is dangerous.”
Despite the political battle with marijuana, Adam wants EVERYONE to feel included in the event, reasoning:
“If there are people from Texas, some Cowboys fan, who is walking down the street in a cowboy hat and a big fur coat and he walks up to our demonstration, I want him to feel welcome coming to D.C..”
Yep, we wouldn’t expect anything less from a pro-cannabis coalition!
So, will you be partaking in this event?
