It appears as though the Magic Mike XXL actress is still waiting on THAT Request for Order motion she filed with the court, as it seems she still hasn’t gotten the $7 million promised to her by her former flame. As you may recall, back in August, Johnny and Amber finalized their divorce settlement after the twosome’s EXPLOSIVE split.
While Miz Heard planned to donate her earnings from the breakup to the ACLA and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, the A-lister crossed a line by donating a portion of her settlement to the charities himself. The blonde stunner’s legal filing noted:
“Johnny has not lived up to his obligation to me under the [settlement], including payments, allowing me to retrieve my personal property, transferring title of a vehicle to me and meeting regarding division of the furniture and furnishings in the residential units we occupied.”
Whoa. We knew back in December Johnny hadn’t gotten around to giving Amber her belongings, but we didn’t think it’d STILL be an issue in the new year!
Rightfully, The Danish Girl actress is pissed as she continued:
“I have been committed to a quick resolution of this matter so that I can be divorced from [Depp]. Unfortunately, Johnny and his counsel seem to wish to prolong the proceeding as a means of punishing me… Johnny has delayed the resolution of this matter. I want my life back. I want to be divorced now.”
Snap! Snap! Heard has also since denied her ex’s request for $100,000 in court sanctions. Oh, AND Amber’s now looking to walk away with more money for her settlement, as she’s acquired additional attorney’s fees and costs for her latest filing.
Obviously, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star’s legal team isn’t going to take this lying down as they responded to the It-girl’s motion:
“Her request is entirely unnecessary under the law and suggests a last-ditch effort to garner media attention and somehow further her public persona by virtue of proximity to Johnny Depp. From the inception of this dissolution Amber has sought to build a case in the court of public opinion.”
DANGGGGG. Tell us how you REALLY feel. The statement concluded:
“Amber is now courting renewed media attention with this unnecessary Request for Order. Her application is not only a blatant attempt to extend her fifteen minutes of fame but also a waste of the Court’s limited time and resources and an embarrassing grab for addition and unwarranted attorney’s fees.”
We doubt these two will walk away from this divorce case as friends. Sigh…
