Donald Trump Forgets Christmas Happened As He Takes Credit For Jackie Evancho’s Holiday Album Doing Well…

Could he be more arrogant?

On Wednesday, Donald Trump took to Twitter to brag about how he helped boost Jackie Evancho‘s album sales by naming her as one of the performers at his presidential inauguration. Don’t you have intelligence briefings to attend or something?

The controversial politician wrote:

If by “movement”, you mean how you tapped into a racist, xenophobic, and misogynistic voting base… then sure, you’ve got quite the terrifying movement on your hands. Sigh.

Thankfully, Billboard has done a bit of fact checking against the Trumpster’s most recent claim. Apparently, the America’s Got Talent alum’s Someday At Christmas album sold 6,000 copies in the chart week ending on December 15. As you may recall, team Trump revealed Miz Evancho would be singing the national anthem at the political event back on December 14.

While Jackie’s sales DID spike from 6,000 copies to 11,000 copies sold the next week, by the end of the month Someday At Christmas dropped back down to 8,000 copies sold. So if you’re sitting there thinking, “Man, Donald was right,” hold on for just one second.

In case you forgot, most holiday albums see a spike in sales in the weeks leading up to Christmas. For example, Pentatonix‘s A Pentatonix Christmas jumped from 139,000 copies sold to 185,000 sold between the chart weeks of December 15 and December 22. ALSO, Jackie performed during the AGT holiday special — which aired on December 19.

We feel like we should also mention, Jackie’s other albums haven’t returned to the Billboard 200 chart since she was tapped to perform at the inauguration. So…we think Donnie’s simply butt hurt that he STILL hasn’t locked in an A-lister for his big day. LOLz!
