Give us more Carey!
We just can’t seem to get enough Mariah’s World and while a second season might be up in the air, there are PLENTY of other Mariah Carey projects on the way!
While the rest of the world is still focusing on Mariah’s New Year’s Eve incident, her manager, Stella Bulochnikov, is looking ahead at upcoming projects, like more movies — even a “secret” movie!
Miz Bulochnikov recently sat down with ET and dished about what her star has got coming up. Unfortunately, the business pro said “we’ll see” when it comes to a second season of the reality show, but Stella did reveal:
“We have a secret project. We do have a scripted drama that we are developing that has not been announced about Mariah’s life that’s going to be incredibly poignant.”
The singer’s manager confessed she doesn’t know who they’d get to play Mariah as they “haven’t gotten there,” but we’re just THRILLED this could be a thing!
The 46-year-old has more than just a secret project on the way as Stella also said her client signed a deal with Hallmark to develop, executive produce, direct, AND costar in three more original movies. Not to mention she’ll be composing an original song for each! As you might recall, Carey directed and starred in 2015’s Hallmark flick A Christmas Melody.
“We’ll hopefully do, you know, holiday movies with them, and the first of which we were supposed to do this February, but of course we have this tour, so we had to push it. But we’ll get a good movie out to the public.”
Unfortunately, when it came time to talk about that steamy kiss between the Heartbreaker singer and Bryan Tanaka in the midseason teaser, the manager stayed professional by dodging it, saying:
“We’ve got a really strong team around us of good people. We support each other and love each other, and it’s going to stay that way in the New Year. We’re like a traveling family.”
We guess we’ll just have to tune in to see where it all goes!
Mariah’s manager didn’t dish on the NYE performance either, but that’s TOTALLY understandable seeing as how the diva responded to the mishap herself and sent a pretty clear message by splitting with her longtime creative director.
Sure, we’re bummed there’s no news of a second season of Mariah’s World, but it sounds like we’ve got enough other Carey on the way to keep us happy!
What are your thoughts on all of the Grammy winner’s upcoming projects?
