Demi Lovato Canceled Her North Carolina Concerts To Protest Anti-LGBT Law… So Why Is She Still Performing In Dubai Next Month??

no title

She finally got her Grammy nomination… so we guess she’s done playing politics.

Demi Lovato took a stand for equal rights nearly a year ago when she and Nick Jonas canceled their Future Now Tour stops in North Carolina over the state’s anti-transgender House Bill 2.

Since then, the Stone Cold singer has publicly taken a break from the business — except for the fact that she’s still set to perform at Dubai’s RedFestDXB music festival next month.

But while we were completely supportive of Dem’s decision to let her North Carolina shows go south, we can’t help but notice that Dubai is notoriously even worse with LGBT rights… so why is she still performing for them?

Oh, right — money.

We can’t think of any other possible reason as to why she’d be so blatantly contradicting herself.

But Demi isn’t the only one. Other socially aware A-Listers like Mike Posner, Alessia Cara, The Veronicas, G-Eazy, Sean Paul, Daya, and Tove Lo are also lending their talents to the February 2-3 weekend festival… so maybe the pay just really is that good!

Do U think Demi Lovato owes it to her LGBT Lovatics NOT to perform for Dubai??
