George Michael‘s cause of death may have been ruled “inconclusive,” one of his loved ones believes he knows exactly what led to the singer’s untimely passing.

On Tuesday, Andros Georgiou opened up to BBC Two‘s Victoria Derbyshire about the late legend’s drug abuse issues, saying he believes the Wham! frontman had recently been reintroduced to serious narcotics:

“Hard drugs had been back in his life.”

Which drugs? Andros revealed crack cocaine had been one of the iconic artist’s favorites.

George and Andros had been such close childhood friends that they often referred to each other as “cousins.” And even though the two had a big falling out in 1998, the ex-music producer believes drugs killed his former BFF, adding:

“I just think he took too much of something, mixed with antidepressants and other drugs he was on – with alcohol.”

But Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy‘s father — yup, they’re all connected and George was even James’ godfather — doesn’t think the 53-year-old intentionally took his own life:

“I believe he had suicidal thoughts, because his mental health was all over the place. But I don’t believe this was suicide. I think his heart just stopped beating.”

Now Andros is demanding justice. You can see his plea for the truth in this clip from Victoria’s show (below):
