Oh no.

On Wednesday, it was confirmed that former President George H.W. Bush had been hospitalized in Houston, TX after experiencing “shortness of breath.”

Thankfully, Bush’s chief of staff, named Jean Becker, revealed the longtime politician’s hospitalization was merely a precaution and noted the 41st president should be sent home from the Houston Methodist Hospital in a few days. Phew!

Becker revealed to the Houston Chronicle:

“He’s there. He’s fine and he’s doing really well.”

Well, that’s good! Not to mention, a different statement from the 92-year-old’s office confirmed George W. Bush‘s father is “being monitored as a precaution and is resting comfortably.” Either they’re staying on message not to panic anyone OR he’s really doing just fine.

This stint in the hospital is, sadly, not the first time Bush has dealt with health problems. As you may recall, Barbara Bush‘s husband has a form of Parkinson’s disease and, in recent years, has been forced to use a motorized scooter/wheelchair to get around. In 2015, George was sent to the hospital after having a nasty fall which caused him to break a bone in his neck. A year before that, he was hospitalized for a week due to shortness of breath.

Regardless, H.W. Bush hasn’t let his age or condition slow him down as, for his 90th birthday, he did a tandem parachute jump. Color us impressed!

At least this health episode isn’t affecting Bush’s travel plans to Donald Trump‘s inauguration, since he wasn’t going to go in the first place. LOLz!

We’re wishing the former Prez only the speediest of recoveries!
