Michelle Obama will forever be our FLOTUS!
As we reported, on Friday, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th United States President during his inauguration in D.C. Sadly, this means Barack Obama is no longer our commander-in-chief after an amazing eight years.
Immediately after the ceremony, the Obama family traveled to Palm Springs to enjoy some rest and relaxation. As of this writing, they are currently in Riverdale and could not make their destination due to stormy weather.
Even though Michelle is no longer in the White House, she wrote a message on Twitter telling her millions of followers that she will continue to serve her country, and will remain a positive role model for young men and women everywhere.
The 53-year-old wrote:
After an extraordinary 8 years, I’ll be taking a little break. Will be back before you know it to work with you on the issues we care about. pic.twitter.com/o0ECJitXnw

We are grateful for everything that Barack and Michelle have done for our country. It was truly a pleasure to witness such excellence!
