This is so wonderful — and will be so meaningful for fans.
After their recent deaths at the end of 2016, fans of both Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds will have the ability to mourn and celebrate them — because the family will be holding a joint public memorial!
Carrie’s brother and Debbie’s son, Todd Fisher, posted the news on his website on Friday, revealing the details about the public memorial for the two stars that will take place on March 25 at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
“We will be celebrating their lives with friends, family members, and the people who loved them, you. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and immediately afterwards, those who want to walk to their final resting place are welcome to do so. There are a limited number of seats available, and it will be on a first come first come, first seated basis, There are no tickets, it is first come, first seated. There will be room for overflow in the huge lobby as well as the outside with screens to watch and hear the service.”
Obviously, the pain of losing icons like Reynolds and Fisher is still so great — but small moments like this are wonderful for fans and SO important for the mourning process.
