Budweiser’s Pro-Immigration Super Bowl Ad Couldn’t Have Come At A Better Time!

no title

Budweiser just unveiled their 60-second Super Bowl ad — and it really couldn’t be more timely!

The clip tells the immigrant story of the mega-brewery’s founder Adolphus Busch and his pursuit of the American Dream.

The advertisement called “Born The Hard Way,” shows Adolphus facing many hardships after arriving from Germany in 1857 before settling in St. Louis, where he eventually met co-founder Eberhard Anheuser — hence, Anheuser-Busch.

You learn something new everyday!

Given the outrage and controversy surrounding Donald Trump‘s new refugee ban, we’re sure this pro-immigration message will certainly strike a cord with people around the country!

But — the commercial wasn’t whipped up just in the past few days, it was already in the works before Drumpf went off the deep end.

Anheuser-Busch’s vice president Ricardo Marques said in a press release:

“This commercial shows the start of Budweiser’s journey, and while it is set in the 1800’s, it’s a story we believe will resonate with today’s entrepreneurial generation — those who continue strive for their dreams.”

Ad executive Mike Byrne added to that sentiment:

“When Budweiser told us they wanted to celebrate those who embody the American spirit, we realized the ultimate story lived within their own brand history. Adolphus Busch is the hero of the Anheuser-Busch American dream story, which makes him the perfect protagonist.”

Soooo if you’re FOR the immigration ban… maybe you shouldn’t be drinking an ice cold Budweiser while watching the big game this weekend! Just saying!
