Are you listening, Donald Trump?
On Tuesday’s episode of Ellen, the 59-year-old emphasizes the importance of acceptance and aiding others following Drumpf’s executive order that has spurred protests around the world.
Using the plot of her film Finding Dory — which he screened at the White House a day after the ban was enacted — the activist explains the animated fish’s journey to be reunited with her family while alluding to Donald’s infamous wall:
“They all have to get over the wall and you won’t believe it, but that wall has almost no effect in keeping them out.”
The TV personality goes on to say:
“Even though Dory gets into America, she gets separated from her family. But, the other animals help Dory. Animals that don’t even need her, animals that don’t even have anything in common with her. They help her even though they’re completely different colors because that’s what you do when you see someone in need: you help them.”
Moral of the story: Love wins every time!!
