But that happened to be the case when the 19-year-old entrepreneur decided to trademark the name “Kylie” in April of 2014. Turns out, the international pop star wasn’t having any of it.
According to reports, the 48-year-old had her legal team send the US Patent and Trademark Office a letter as to why the trademark shouldn’t be granted to the Jenner, even calling the teen “a secondary reality television personality.”
As you might have imagined, Minogue’s team made the case the OG Kylie is an “internationally-renowned performing artist, humanitarian and breast cancer activist known to the world simply as Kylie.”
Reportedly, the Patent and Trademark Office agreed because it’s said they sided with the Australian starlet!
Following her split from fianc├â┬⌐ Joshua Sasse this week, the blonde beauty could probably use a win!
