Donald Trump’s Pick For Labor Secretary Admits To Employing An Undocumented Worker

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos may have been pushed through despite a complete lack of qualification, but Donald Trump‘s pick for Labor Secretary is having some trouble.

That’s thanks to a new mini-scandal in which it turns out Andrew Puzder, the CEO of Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. parent company CKE, had undocumented labor in his own home!

Dun dun DUN!

In a statement, Puzder admitted:

“My wife and I employed a housekeeper for a few years, during which I was unaware that she was not legally permitted to work in the U.S.

When I learned of her status, we immediately ended her employment and offered her assistance in getting legal status. We have fully paid back taxes to the IRS and the state of California and submitted all required paperwork regarding her employment.”

Way to get ahead of the scandal. But will it be enough not to get dropped by Trump?

What are we saying — so long as you don’t malign his Drumpfiness, the POTUS has been OK with just about all manner of sins. So what’s a little hypocrisy among multimillionaires?

Do YOU think Puzder will still get confirmed?
