More on this fake news story as it doesn’t develop├óΓé¼┬ª
Donald Trump kicked off yet another week by attacking the media with outrageous accusations — which means more late night segments were dedicated to debunking the president’s
alternative false facts.
Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert reamed President Pinocchio (you know, because he lies and he’s a puppet!) on Monday night, ripping on his claims that the “very, very dishonest press” isn’t reporting on major terrorist attacks.
Both hosts compared POTUS’s comments to his adviser Kellyanne Conway‘s remarks about the Bowling Green Massacre, a horrible tragedy that never happened.
Colbert gave Conway the benefit of the doub on The Late Show, joking that he was a “Bowling Green truther” and promised to have more on the story as it doesn’t develop.
Meyers dissected these latest claims a bit more on Late Night‘s “A Closer Look.” The SNL alum noted Trump administration’s ridiculous lies were made to distract us “from other, worse lies” — like when Conway falsely claimed that Barack Obama also banned Iraqi refugees to justify Trump’s awful travel ban.
Ch-ch-check out both clips (below)!
Hmm├óΓé¼┬ª now, we’re starting to wonder if all this moronic, anti-politician showmanship is also meant as a distraction while Steve Bannon cooks up something even more sinister in the Oval Office?
What do U think? Sound off in the comments!
