Bernice King has a lot to say when it comes to resisting you-know-who — and her number one rule is saying his name as little as possible!
On Wednesday, the daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. shared some wisdom on how to properly push back against Donald Trump (dammit, we said it!) while not disrespecting those who support him.
In a Facebook post beginning with the message “Some Wise Advice Circulating,” the activist gave 10 tips on opposing the divisive leader, a lot of which revolves around how we speak about him.
King’s tips included keeping messages positive, being careful not to spread fake news, and keeping the focus on his policies instead of his cartoonish mental state. (Yikes, this is gonna be hard├óΓé¼┬ª)
The final piece of advice, “resist!”, encourages opposers to shift more accountability on the president’s administration — or as King calls it, his “regime” — which will rob the pseudo-politician of “the focus of attention he craves.”
Well, she certainly ain’t wrong about that!
