If you tuned in to the Grammys last night, you saw Adele pay tribute to George Michael with a performance of Fastlove, which didn’t get off to the best start.

So, the Hello singer said FUCK IT — literally, she totally swore on live TV — and stopped the song to go again.

In the press room following the flub, the 28-year-old said:

“I was devastated by that, and my rehearsal — I did have a shaky rehearsal today. But I have been working very hard on this tribute for him, every day.”

The Brit went on to apologize for cussing on national TV, she just wanted it to be perfect:

“I really do apologize for swearing. George Michael, I love him. He means a lot to me, so I’m really sorry if I offended anyone anywhere.”

This wasn’t the first time Adele faced some sound issues onstage.

After the performance, she told Ellen DeGeneres:

“Next time I have any sound issues I am gonna stop. ├óΓé¼╦£Sorry, that’s not working for me. If we have time to do it again, let’s do it.”

Fast forward to last night’s tribute, and she did just that!

The talk show host showed her support for the mother-of-one’s restart, tweeting:
