Yup, in case you missed it, on Friday the Mean Girls alum joined DailyMail.com for a Facebook Live interview and got candid about her thoughts on POTUS and revealed whether or not she was considering converting to Islam. Hmmmm, go on!
During her social media livestream, the former Disney darling said of Drumpf:
“I think always in the public eye you’re gonna be scrutinized, and he is the president. We have to join him. If you can’t beat him, join him.”
This mindset of LiLo’s is definitely confusing since she’s been so passionate about working with the Syrian refugees and Trump, you know, pretty much hates refugees. Nonetheless, Miz Lohan continued:
“You know, I think it would be a positive thing for America to show their care and support, and for him to experience what it’s like for these people … experience how giving Turkey has been to the refugees and how many they have welcomed in.”
That’d be great, but we doubt Mr. Trump will be flying to Turkey anytime soon. And while Lindsay defended the controversial politician, the A-lister revealed the current political climate in our country made her “scared” to come home — but not because she’s a Muslim.
In regards to the reports that she converted, the industry vet explained:
“I’ve studied the Quran for quite some time…It’s a process to convert to anything. I respect all religions… it’s a beautiful religion and I am a very spiritual person… it’s something I’ve been studying. You can’t just convert overnight to a religion. Anything’s possible; this is more of a personal journey. A lot of different religions and spiritualities appeal to me.”
Huh. We’re honestly still floored by Lohan’s defense of the Trumpster, especially after audio from a 2004 interview with Howard Stern featured the president saying that Lindsay was a “deeply troubled woman” but probably “great in bed.”
But hey, it seems like The Parent Trap actress is just taking the high road. Good on you, girl!
