Salma Hayek knew about the Oscars‘ most awkward moment… even before anyone in the audience did!!
In case you somehow missed it, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced La La Land as the winner of Best Picture, when it was really Moonlight that won!
Has your jaw dropped??
Well, Salma says she was backstage with the stage manager when the mix-up happened! She told ET:
“I actually heard the stage manager standing in front of me saying, ├óΓé¼╦£No, no, no, that is not the movie. And so I saw it before it happened. I said, ├óΓé¼╦£What are they going to do now?’ and then I saw him get on stage. And then I said, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh my god, they are going to say it.'”
“I actually saw it before everyone else and it was kind of freaky but exciting and I am just glad at least two movies got to get up on stage and be celebrating.”
That’s certainly one way to look at it!!
You can watch her interview (below), but be sure to let us know what you thought when you heard the on-stage blunder!
