Rod Stewart Apologizes For ‘ISIS-Style’ Video Showing A Mock Beheading

Rod Stewart apologizes for mock-ISIS video.

Someone really didn’t think this through.

Rod Stewart is in hot water after his wife Penny Lancaster posted a video on social media showing the legendary singer performing what many thought looked like an “ISIS-style” mock execution in the Abu Dhabi desert.

Followers immediately denounced the video, saying it was too much like the beheading videos posted by ISIS, and therefore highly insensitive and downright stupid.

The video has since been removed and Rod has issued an apology via People, claiming they were just playing Game Of Thrones:

“From re-enacting The Beatles’ Abbey Road crossing to spontaneously playing out Game Of Thrones, we were simply larking about pre-show. Understandably this has has been misinterpreted and I send my deepest apologies to those who have been offended.”

Despite being deleted, the short clip continues to exist online, and you can watch it (below).
