Hillary Clinton is encouraging women to continue fighting during the awful Trump administration.
In a short clip posted to Snapchat Wednesday, International Women’s Day, the former presidential candidate said:
“There’s a lot to fight for — Planned Parenthood, education, healthcare, jobs. Every issue is a woman’s issue. So stand up, resist, run for office, be a champion.”
Hell yeah! That should be turned into a battle cry!
Also on Wednesday, Clinton spoke at the 16th annual Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards in Washington, D.C., an organization she founded back when she was First Lady, and which also happened to be celebrating its 20th anniversary.
This came after she made an appearance Tuesday to accept the Champion for Girls Award from Girls Inc. We hope this is just the start of her comeback tour!
Addressing a mostly female audience, she said:
“Our voices have always been vital but they have never been more vital than they are right now. Not just in far away countries but right here. And we are just getting started.”
“International Women’s Day is always important but this year it feels even more significant. A day to recognize that women have always been on the front lines of the most important fights unfolding around us.”
This week’s appearances seem to be signaling a return to the political sphere for the former Secretary of State.
We don’t know what role she’ll be taking on in the coming months, but we’re sure she’ll take her own advice to stand up, resist, and be a champion.
Ch-ch-check out the inspiring message (below)!
We’re looking forward to hearing more from her!
P.S. Yes, we totally noticed her new haircut. It rocks!
