Nicole Kidman Explains Why She Clapped Like A Seal At The Oscars — Go On!

nicole kidman's weird clapping explained

She speaks!

As we previously reported, Nicole Kidman stole the spotlight at the Oscars when fans took to Twitter to troll the weird way she was clapping at the Hollywood event. In case you missed it, please see the bizarre movements for yourself (above).

Anywho, Keith Urban‘s wife has since spoken out about her seal clapping as she dished all about it during Wednesday’s interview with Australian radio hosts, Kyle and Jackie O. Goooooo on!!

Apparently, the Big Little Lies star was wearing a huge Harry Winston ring which made it REALLY hard for her palms to touch. She explained:

“It was really awkward. I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£I wanna clap, I don’t wanna not be clapping’ ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ that’d be worse, right? Like ├óΓé¼╦£Why isn’t Nicole clapping?’ So therefore I’m clapping but it was really difficult because I had a huge ring on that was not mine ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ but it was absolutely gorgeous ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and I was terrified of damaging it.”

Makes sense! Of course, Miz Kidman’s explanation doesn’t make her clapping any less funny.

Obviously, her applauding ability wasn’t the only thing that made headlines from the Oscars. On the awards show’s best picture snafu, the A-lister shared:

“It was bizarre. I wasn’t sure what was going on. No one in the audience was. Then there was some shuffling, envelopes ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and people rushing onstage ├óΓé¼┬ª I was like ├óΓé¼╦£What is going on?'”

If it was crazy for us at home, we can’t even imagine what it was like being there! In fact, at one point, the 49-year-old noted that she thought someone needed medical help. She added:

“I thought someone wasn’t well ├óΓé¼┬ª and then I saw people’s faces dropping. It was bizarre.”

We bet.

After all of the craziness at the Oscars, we have a feeling Nicole is happy there’s a whole 12 months until next year’s awards ceremony. LOLz!
