Dr. Luke Is Now Coming After The Kesha Fan Who Organized Last Year’s #FreeKesha Protests

no title

The ongoing court drama going down between Dr. Luke and Kesha just took a very interesting turn.

On Friday, court documents were released that show how Dr. Luke — the writer/producer born as Lukasz Gottwald — has moved to subpoena Michael Eisele in regards to the ongoing, dueling lawsuits between the music makers.

And if you don’t know the name Michael Eisele, well, perhaps you know of the @KeshaToday Twitter account, which Eisele runs and used in an instrumental way for last year’s #FreeKesha protests on social media.

Now, Dr. Luke’s subpoena is suspicious that Eisele’s #FreeKesha work was “closely coordinated” with Kesha herself, the end issue being that the protests themselves were set “to spread [Kesha’s] defamatory statements and tarnish Plaintiffs’ reputation.”

Dr. Luke also alleges in that subpoena that Kesha was active in “encouraging and assisting Mr. Eisele in creating bogus Internet ‘petitions’ and engaging in other tactics to pressure Sony Music Entertainment to terminate its business with Plaintiffs.”

Bottom line, Dr. Luke wants Eisele involved and in court, because, as the lawsuit says, the Kesha super fan has “information that is material and necessary to the prosecution of this action” and asks the court about “the issuance of an open commission to enable [Plaintiffs] to obtain documents and other tangible things from Mr. Eisele and to take his deposition as a non-party witness in this action.”
