House Intel Chairman (Who Is A Republican, BTW) Says There Is NO Evidence To Support Trump’s Baseless Wiretapping Allegations!

trump tower wasnt wire tapped

Donald Trump needs to get his tweets fact checked before he sends them!

Once again, the President is caught in a lie after he accused Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential race. How do we know POTUS is lying? (Besides his lips moving we mean…)

Well, on Wednesday, Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes revealed that the committee hasn’t seen ANY evidence which would support Drumpf’s outlandish claims.

ICYMI, earlier this month the Commander-in-Chief took to Twitter and, in a total rant, wrote:

We know, totally bananas. And Representative Nunes publicly contradicted the President’s statements, as he noted during a press conference:

“We don’t have any evidence that that took place and in fact I don’t believe ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ just in the last week of time, the people we’ve talked to ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I don’t think there was an actual tap of Trump Tower.”

Of course there wasn’t!

Nunes went onto clarify that if you’re reading Trump’s tweets literally then “clearly the President was wrong.”

This update comes only a handful of days after White House press secretary Sean Spicer defended that the Trumpster wasn’t actually talking about wiretapping when he tweeted about, in quotes, getting his “wires tapped.” Instead, according to the Trump lackey, the President was referring to general surveillance activities.

We don’t know about you, but frankly we’re DONE with this picking and choosing when to take Trump “literally” defense.

Reportedly, Nunes and his committee have asked the Justice Department to respond to their request for “relevant” information prior to March 20 — as FBI Director James Comey is expected to testify at a hearing that same day.

It’ll certainly be inneresting to see how Trump responds to this press conference
