The Obama White House To Be Developed Into A Big Screen Workplace Comedy — But It’s Not What You Think!

Donald Trump will be the first to tell you the Barack Obama administration was a total joke.

And it looks like Hollywood agrees — because the Obama White House is being developed into a feature length workplace comedy!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures just optioned a book proposal from a former White House stenographer to be adapted to the big screen.

Beck Dorey-Stein‘s novel From the Corner of the Oval is expected to be published in 2018, and the movie option comes on the heels of a seven-figure, two book deal with Random House division Spiegel & Grau.

The story isn’t about the former POTUS, Michelle Obama, or the First daughters, but instead focuses on the relationship between the White House staffers.

From the Corner of the Oval follows a young woman struggling in Washington D.C. serving cocktails to lobbyists. Through a twist of fate, she gets hired as a transcriber for the Obama White House, and navigates the sea of Washington politics, drama, and romance.

Yup, sounds like a big time Hollywood movie to us! We just really hope Joe Biden makes a cameo.

Would you head to theaters to see this political rom-com?
