Ryan Murphy Set To Tackle 1980s New York City In Pose — His 100th FX Drama!

no title

Pretty soon, every show on FX will be helmed by Ryan Murphy.

The prolific producer is currently working on multiple seasons of American Horror Story, American Crime Story, and Feud for the cable network — but he’s still got more dramas up his sleeve!

The primetime powerhouse’s latest project has been revealed, and it’s missing one signature Murphian element: this drama is… *GASP* not an anthology series!!

That’s right! Murphy’s new show Pose will be an ongoing series following several segments of life and society in New York in 1986.

According to reports, the series will explore the rise of the luxury Trump-era yuppies, the downtown social and literary scene, and the ball culture world.

Casting has already begun for the series, which is expected to feature largely new and unknown performers and slated for a 2018 release.

Murphy is writing the drama with his AHS collaborator Brad Falchuk and Stephen Canals. The three will executive produce with The People v. O.J. Simpson‘s Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson.

Sounds like Pose will be another luxurious primetime notch on Murphy’s belt! Are U excited?
