Joe Biden Regrets Not Running For President & Thinks He Could Have Won!

Like most of us, Joe Biden has regrets.

But unlike most of us, the former Vice President’s missed opportunities could have saved a nation from one giant golden-skinned, tiny-handed nightmare.

Speaking to students at Colgate University on Friday, the beloved politician admitted that he regrets not running in the 2016 presidential election — but if he did, things would be a LOT different around here!

Biden acknowledged that the Democratic primary election would have been “very difficult,” but the general election against Donald Trump would have been a total cake walk had he run!

The Observer-Dispatch of Utica reports that Biden told students the biggest hurdle for his hypothetical campaign would be managing to defeat Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

When asked if he had planned on running, he explained:

“On a college campus I will never, never do anything other than answer the question completely unvarnished and straightforward. The answer is that I had planned on running for president. And although it would have been a very difficult primary, I think I could have won.”

Things certainly would have played out much differently, that’s for sure!

Biden also revealed that his son Beau‘s battle with brain cancer kept him out of the race, adding that his son wanted him to try and become Barack Obama‘s successor.

Though the 74-year-old knew he wasn’t mentally up for the game at the time — he said any presidential candidate should be able to “look the public in the eye and promise you they can give you 100 percent” — Biden confessed he regrets not giving it a shot, adding:

“Do I regret not being president? Yes.”

Yup, we’re regretting that too right about now, Joe!

As for who actually won, Biden hopes President Trump “grows into the job a little bit.” Now he’s just talking crazy!

Do YOU think Biden would have won had he run for President?
