Chris Evans Grants Tom Brady A ‘Pass’ For Supporting Donald Trump

What do you do when you HATE Donald Trump, but LOVE Tom Brady??

Well, it seems as though Chris Evans has found himself in that exact predicament as he addressed his unwavering love for the Patriots quarterback (who is also a known Trump supporter). Oh man.

As you surely know, the Captain America actor has been pretty vocal about his disdain for the Commander-In-Chief as he said it was “an embarrassing night for America” after Donnie walked away the victor on Election Day. So it must’ve been pretty rough for Evans when the Trumpster revealed the American athlete apparently voted for him (although there is some debate there).

Nonetheless, it looks like the A-lister has forgiven his idol for maybe voting for the Celebrity Apprentice alum. While chatting with USA Today, the Boston-born celeb explained:

“Well, I tell you what. If anyone gets a pass it’s Tom Brady….I’m just going out of my way to give Tom Brady a pass. He gave me five rings. What am I supposed to do? He gets a pass.”

We’re not sure a few Super Bowls will help fix all the damage Trump has already done. He continued:

“We may have political disagreements. But I don’t want to encourage this landscape of if you disagree with me politically, you’re my enemy; That’s not the case. Granted, it’s an easy thing to say as a privileged white male. Because there are plenty of people oppressed and victimized and in jeopardy at this stage. It’s easy for me to say, ‘Hey, we can all get along.'”

Well said. Although, we feel like Chris should hold Brady to higher standard considering the footballer has so much influence over people!

However, the action movie stud previously told Jimmy Kimmel he is too nervous to even meet Tom so… it sounds like a lost cause to us. LOLz!

Despite ignoring his favorite footballer’s political views, the 35-year-old is staying active in politics well after the election. In regards to his own opinions, the Gifted star added:

“I’m a citizen first, actor second. I know a lot times actors get grief for having their opinions shared, and people label you as ├óΓé¼╦£out of touch.’ That’s fine if you feel that way, But also it doesn’t negate what I think and feel. And I have a right to share it. More than anything else I’m a citizen of America. And I have my thoughts and opinions.”

YASSSSS. Is it obvious that we’re a little in love with Chris?? *sigh*
