Ben Carson is not having a good Hump Day!
The Housing and Urban Development Secretary started out his Wednesday stuck in an elevator, and had to wait 20 minutes before firefighters rescued him.
We’re sure he was a bit shooketh.
The incident occurred while Ben was visiting an affordable housing complex in Overton, a neighborhood in Miami, with former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning. Alonzo was there to discuss low-income housing with the Secretary, and had to wait around for poor Ben to be rescued. Awkward!
The best part, though, has been all the Twitter reactions, which are, as always, gold.
Check some out (below)!

This was actually a great way for Ben Carson to learn about the struggles folks in low-income housing deal with every day.
Now get to work! https://t.co/7f4PUCzRPE

BREAKING: Ben Carson gets stuck in an elevator. When asked for comment, Carson said, “Even Hitler didn’t get stuck in an elevator.”

Maybe now that Ben’s out he can get to work making sure low-income housing has the same working amenities as regular housing. Are we asking for too much? We probably are.
