More details continue to come to light in the days following Aaron Hernandez‘s suicide.

As we reported, officers recovered three handwritten suicide notes next to a Bible in his single-inmate cell — and initial reports suggested two of these notes were addressed to specific people, while the third was addressed to the public.

While the content of the letters still remains unknown, a “well-placed source” told on Friday that the letters were addressed to the former athlete’s fianc├â┬⌐e Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, the couple’s four-year-old daughter Avielle, and an unnamed “gay prison lover.”

The prisoner in question is said to be the last person in contact with Hernandez before his death, and is currently under “eyeball to eyeball” suicide watch inside the jail.

The outlet also reports the ex-Patriots player had given away most of his personal items to fellow inmates and covered his cell floor in soap before hanging himself from the window.

Such a devastating situation.

The convicted murderer’s brain is now being donated by his family to Boston University to determine if he may have been suffering from CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) caused by head injuries received during his time playing football.

We will keep you updated as we learn more.
