Flight Attendant Union President Reacts To American Airlines’ Recent Stroller Scuffle As Passenger Lawyers Up

The stroller scuffle saga continues.

As we reported, a viral video began circulating on Friday which featured a mother hysterically crying while holding her baby after an American Airlines flight attendant “violently” grabbed her double-wide stroller from her as she attempted to place the object in the overhead bin — allegedly hitting the mother and narrowly missing the baby.

Other passengers on the flight were distraught by the situation, as one man even stood up to defend the sobbing mother and almost ended up in a brawl with the allegedly aggressive flight attendant.

In response, president of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, Bob Ross, said the flight attendant’s actions do not reflect all of the workers they represent:

“He’s a good flight attendant, he’s been doing this job for a long time. This is not indicative of the other 26,000 attendants that we represent nor is it indicative of the airline industry as a whole.”

Despite being offered a full refund, a $1,000 voucher, and an upgrade for her family to first class for the rest of their trip to Argentina, the passenger at the center of all this has since hired a lawyer.

And it’s someone you’re familiar with… Thomas Demetrio! AKA the same attorney representing Dr. David Dao, who was dragged off a United flight earlier this month.

We’ll keep you updated as further developments are made.
