The Bahamas may be known for being laid back, but when it comes to allowing their name to be connected with dumpster Fyres, they’re not playing around.
After the disaster that was Fyre Festival, Ja Rule and Billy McFarland are BANNED from doing any more “organizing” on the islands. Can’t say we blame them. Those viral shots of crappy food and emergency tents cannot be good for tourism.
But it isn’t just the Fyre starters that are being targeted. The Bahamas Ministry Of Tourism are cracking down on future fests as well, requiring more thorough vetting and frequent check-ins for any new events.
Ministry sources tell TMZ they would have stepped in the Fyre sooner, but because it was a private event, they weren’t legally allowed until guest safety became an issue.
Would YOU attend a new festival in the Bahamas after this??
