Not backing down.
As you may recall, Stephen Colbert was recently accused of making a “homophobic” remark while ripping into Donald Trump during his The Late Show monologue. And when #FireColbert became a trending topic on Twitter, we knew the funny man would address the controversy in some way.
While the 52-year-old doesn’t regret comparing Drumpf’s mouth to a “cock-holster,” he acknowledged there were a “few words that were cruder than they needed to be.” Nonetheless, the TV personality stands by is harsh criticism of the Trumpster as he quipped:
“He, I believe, can take care of himself. I have jokes; he has the launch codes. So, it’s a fair fight.”
True that. Not to mention, those trolls petitioning for Colbert’s firing appeared to be Trump supporters who were simply using social justice warrior tactics to defend POTUS. Ugh, guys, can’t your President take a joke??
Be sure to watch Stephen’s (minor) apology for yourself (below).
