Aaron Hernandez‘s lawyer is calling people out.
On Thursday, the Massachusetts State Police issued an investigative report in order to set the record straight about what happened the day the scandalized NFL star committed suicide. Ever since it was revealed that the former New England Patriots tight end killed himself in prison on April 19, there has been a lot of conflicting reports about his passing.
While the report disproved some of the rumors, it did confirm that Aaron had written Bible verse John 3:16 in ink on his forehead and in blood in his prison cell. Intense stuff.
Not to mention, a toxicology report proved the American athlete did NOT have drugs in his system at the time of his death. This update contradicts a previous report which claims Hernandez had used synthetic marijuana hours before killing himself.
And while this report certainly clarifies a few things, Aaron’s lawyer Jose Baez is not satisfied with the way the authorities handled the investigation. In a new statement, the attorney noted:
“Now that the state authorities have completed and closed their investigation into the death of Aaron, we owe it Aaron and his family to conduct a thorough and independent investigation into this tragic death.”
Obviously, Mr. Baez didn’t stop there as he savagely continued:
“The total lack of professionalism exhibited by government officials and their employees during this entire process is unprecedented. The majority of information contained in these reports was leaked to the press during the course of the investigation. The family ├óΓé¼┬ª learned through the numerous press reports, citing unnamed government sources or those close to the investigation, of the details of Aaron’s death. The family members were victims in this matter and deserved better treatment by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.”
Damn. And it appears as though the late football star’s lawyer isn’t messing around as he vowed to get the best “investigators and forensic experts available” to look into the tragic case. Also, Jose warned officials with plans to undermine their independent investigation that they won’t be “tolerated.”
“Any official who attempts to interfere or inhibit our investigation by refusing to allow access to the evidence surrounding this matter will not be tolerated. We will use any and all of the legal tools at our disposal to expose and prevent any such interference.”
We’re sure some Massachusetts officials are sweating right about now…
