It’s not looking any better for Bill O’Reilly!
As you surely remember, the disgraced TV host was ousted from Fox News amid a sexual harassment scandal, which both the network and political pundit reportedly spent millions of dollars trying to brush under the rug.
Well now his ex-wife Maureen McPhilmy‘s affidavit used in the former couple’s 2011 divorce proceedings has been uncovered, and it happens to describe a time Bill physically assaulted her in December of 2009.
According to Maureen, she found her then husband engaging in phone sex in their bedroom one night, which made him fly “into a fit of rage.” She claims he slammed her into a wall and violently dragged her out of their room and down a flight of stairs in their Long Island home.
It wasn’t until the now 67-year-old dragged her through the kitchen where the O’Reilly family’s security guard was present that he stopped. Apparently, the guard was taken aback that Bill was naked from the waist down. Maureen also claims the security personnel asked if she wanted to file a police report, which she says she declined.
If any of this sounds familiar, that’s because Bill and Maureen’s daughter previously told a forensic examiner about a violent incident when her father dragged her mother by the neck down a flight of stairs. It’s not clear if it was the same incident, but full custody was later granted to the mother of two.
And as we previously reported, the New York Times discovered at least $13 million was paid out to five sexual accusers over allegations including:
“Verbal abuse, lewd comments, unwanted advances and phone calls in which it sounded as if Mr. O’Reilly was masturbating.”
So, there’s that.
Neither party has commented on the release of information, but we have a feeling this isn’t the last we’re going to be hearing of this.
