Catelynn Lowell is ready to expand her brood.
Although the Teen Mom OG star’s battle with postpartum depression was well documented on the hit MTV show, the reality TV vet is confident that more children are in her future. During an appearance on the podcast Reality Life with Kate Casey, the 25-year-old revealed she would like more kids with husband Tyler Baltierra.
Miz Lowell explained:
“Believe me, I want another baby, too. I think struggling with postpartum and it being so severe ├óΓé¼┬ª it’s kind of scary for me, in a way. That definitely deters me a little bit from wanting another child.”
Very fair. In case you forgot, Catelynn sought professional help after struggling with PPD following the birth of her second child, Nova.
And it sounds like the 16 & Pregnant alum has a plan for when she does become pregnant again. The doting mom continued:
“I keep telling myself that whenever [I get pregnant], because it will eventually, you just have to have that support system. We definitely want more kids, it’s just when ├óΓé¼┬ª I don’t know.”
What’s interesting is Catelynn isn’t exactly sure if she faced PPD after giving birth to her first child, named Carly. As you may recall, the young parents gave Carly up for adoption when they were teens. On the differences between her two pregnancies, Catelynn relayed:
“I never struggled with depression or anxiety before I ever got pregnant with her. Now, after Carly, a few years later, I had my first ever, severe panic attack and depression. And then after that fact, I struggled with it for years and then I had Nova.”
Obviously, Mrs. Baltierra isn’t rushing into any decision.
During a recent episode of Teen Mom OG, Tyler expressed his desire for a third child (specifically a son) — but Catelynn appeared to be a bit overwhelmed with the idea. Despite his clear hope for another kiddo, Baltierra resolved to wait until his wife was ready to take that leap!
At the end of the day, we just want what’s best for the young parents. Oh, and Catelynn, happy Early Mother’s day!
