We’re loving this candid side of Brad Pitt.
It’s been two weeks since the A-lister’s tell-all interview with GQ Style made headlines, and it seems as though the father-of-six isn’t done opening up in the press. For a recent interview with the Associated Press, the War Machine actor got frank about choosing to discuss his struggles with alcohol with the public.
In regards to confirming his drinking problem, the industry vet noted:
“I’ve got no secrets. I’ve got nothing to hide. We’re human and I find the human condition very interesting. If we’re not talking about it, then we’re not getting better.”
Nonetheless, after ALL that drama with the FBI and Child Protective Services, Brad claims he is focusing on “keeping the ship afloat” and “figuring out the new configuration of [their] family.” The Hollywood hunk added:
”Kids are everything. Kids are your life. They’re taking all the focus, as they should anyway.”
And while seeing Pitt this vulnerable may off-put fans, the Fight Club alum assures his followers that he’s in a healthy headspace. The 53-year-old explained:
“I’m not suicidal or something. There’s still much beauty in the world and a lot of love. And a lot of love to be given. It’s all right. It’s just life.”
Well that’s good to hear. Hopefully this isn’t the last candid interview we get from the Pitt-Jolie patriarch, because we’re VVV into this “softer” Brad.
Keep doing you, bud!
