Kirsten Dunst Just Shaded The Spider-Man Reboots In The Most Amazing Way

Kirsten Dunst is serving up the Spider-Man shade you didn’t know you needed!

In a new feature with Variety, the 35-year-old actress, who played Mary-Jane Watson in Sam Raimi‘s trilogy, gushed about being cast in one of Hollywood’s first comic book films — while totally taking a dig at the future reboots!

The Bring It On star said of the project:

“I wanted to be in that movie so badly. I loved it, and I wish we could have made a fourth.”

Of the more recent installments, Kirsten says she “doesn’t care” while admitting to not even watching them:

“Everyone likes our Spider-Man. C’mon, am I right or what? Listen, I’d rather be in the first ones than the new ones.”

There’s something else The Virgin Suicides actress doesn’t have a taste for… romantic comedies!

She explained of having starred in films like Wimbledon and Elizabethtown:

“It’s just so boring. I think that was a time when the romantic comedy was so big. I knew it wasn’t for me. I just didn’t have fun making them. I guess it’s not in my DNA.”
