This is so unbelievably scary!

NYC emergency services scrambled on Thursday after a speeding car plowed into pedestrians walking through Times Square.

At least one person was killed in the crash, according to city officials, with many more injured. It is currently being reported that as many as 20 might be hurt.

The FDNY confirmed the sad news, originally reporting that 12 other patients were receiving emergency care, though the extent of their injuries is unknown:

Law enforcement sources say the driver of the car is in custody and is being tested for alcohol. Terrorism is not suspected at this time.
