Billy Bush seems truly remorseful and eager to make amends.
It has recently been revealed that the former Access Hollywood host reached out to Nancy O’Dell to apologize for the lewd remarks made by Donald Trump in the infamous leaked 2005 conversation with Bush that came to light in October 2016.
In the clip, Trump can be heard boasting about making a move on a married woman, saying:
“I moved on her and I failed. I’ll admit it. I did try and f–k her. She was married.”
Vom. The woman in question was later identified as Nancy.
The clip also features Billy basically laughing at the whole thing, including the pussy-grabbing comments that appeared in the same leaked footage.
On the Monday, May 22, episode of Entertainment Tonight, Nancy admitted that Billy had offered her his regrets about the whole situation. She said:
“Billy reached out to me just about three weeks ago by email. He wrote a really nice apology, which I appreciated very much. He and I worked together for so many years, for a long time, and I only wish him the best moving forward.”
It’s big of her to forgive him, considering how awful and gross that whole exchange with Drumpf was.
Billy also recently spoke out about the entire experience and backlash he received following the tape’s leaking, including his firing from The Today Show. He had been MIA for a while but finally addressed how it had impacted him and his own family, including his daughters.
Here’s hoping he learned something from it all.
