Rachel Lindsay‘s fianc├â┬⌐ is in there somewhere!
As we previously reported, Miz Lindsay recently confirmed that she got engaged while taping season 13 of The Bachelorette. This news made watching Monday’s premiere of the ABC dating competition WAAAAAY more exciting, especially since the Nick Viall castoff met quite the unique bunch of suitors.
We mean, not only did the Dallas-based lawyer meet someone who lists being a “Whaboom” as their career, but the 31-year-old already locked lips with one contestant. Ooh la la!
So, if you missed last night’s episode at all or just want to relive all of the dramatic moments, be sure to ch-ch-check out our recap of the premiere (below)!
Bring On The Men
After Rachel’s intro video package (where she talked all about what went wrong in her relationship with Viall), several of the Bachelorette‘s suitors were introduced — and let’s just say this an eclectic group of guys. A few standouts included Kenny, a pro wrestler with a 10-year-old kid; Mohit, a startup executive who loves competitive Bollywood dancing; and Alex, a Russian fitness enthusiast who also enjoys coding.
Of course, there’s always a resident odd-ball, and it seems as though Blake E. was hoping to nab that title as he couldn’t stop talking about how kinky his last relationship was. *Shudders*
However, it was Josiah who stood out the most during this portion of the episode. Not only is the 28-year-old an attorney like Rachel, but he also told a chilling story about having to cut his brother down from a tree following his flesh-and-blood’s suicide. How awful.
The Limos Arrive
Nonetheless, things only got more bizarre as the men pulled up to the Bachelorette mansion in their limos. Okay, let’s get the Whaboom guy out of the way… Lucas‘ entrance was particularly painful to watch as he greeted Rachel with a megaphone in hand and a lot of energy.
Unsurprisingly, peppy Lucas already made an enemy in the mansion as Blake E. (who arrived with a marching band) plotted to take down the Whaboom enthusiast. A few honorable mentions go out to Adam, who showed up with a large puppet named Adam Jr.; Matt, who dressed up as a penguin; and Jonathan, a contestant who thought it was a good idea to tickle Rachel upon first meeting her.
Rachel Swaps Some Spit
With so many incredibly hunky guys at her disposal, we knew the Bachelor alum would be locking lips with SOMEONE during Monday’s episode. Bryan, a 37-year-old chiropractic physician, wasted no time in stealing Rachel’s first kiss of the season. Mere moments after pulling the dark haired beauty aside, the doc planted one on Rach. But hey, homegirl was about it, as she told the cameras:
“I was not ready for it, did not want to kiss anybody tonight, but boy did I love it. I enjoyed it!”
Awww! Nonetheless, Rachel wasn’t just all about Bryan as DeMario also caught the reality TV vet’s eye. Despite being warned that the executive recruiter was there for the wrong reasons, Rachel took a liking to him as she enjoyed how he took control of their conversation.
Still, it was Bryan who walked away with the first impression rose.
The Rose Ceremony
Speaking of roses… Bryce, Josiah, and DeMario joined Bryan as frontrunners as they all received their flowers first during the evening’s rose ceremony. And it looks like Rachel is in to gimmicks as the kinkster (Blake E.), the Whaboom (Lucas), and the puppet guy (Adam) all got roses too. A bunch of other guys got roses as well, but it might be easier to just tell you who went home.
Sadly, Rachel couldn’t keep all the men in the mansion as she said goodbye to Rob, Kyle, Blake K., Grant, Jedidiah, Michael, Milton, and Mohit. Whomp, whomp.
What do YOU think? Did Rachel keep the right beaus??
