Katy Perry is SO ready to put all this feuding behind her.
The Swish Swish singer has been talking about Taylor Swift during her recent promo tour for her new album, Witness, and she’s not holding back.
In her latest interview with SiriusXM Morning Mash Up on Tuesday, she talked more about how she attempted to quell the feud before it got big, but that Swifty wasn’t interested.
“I did try and reach out to her. I tried to do the right thing, the good thing, and, you know, she shut me down and wrote a song.”
Oooh, that actually makes Taylor look really bad.
And when asked if she would FaceTime with her frenemy, Katy said:
“Absolutely. By the way, I am ready because I think when women unite, the world is going to heal.”
“I don’t have any beef really with anyone. I love everyone, and honestly … I think we need to unite more than ever. I think we see that today especially. Like, we need to come together and love on each other today. Don’t matter where you come from, don’t matter what you believe, don’t matter which music you like the most, we are the same and we need to be unified.”
Yas, girl! Preach for unity!
As for Swish Swish, the new single everyone thinks is about Taylor? Katy explained:
“Swish Swish just basically is like, I stay winning. I just like, you know, I’m above that crap. I’m gonna stay winning. You’re gonna try to hold me down, I’m gonna come out like a phoenix rising.”
