Dani Mathers Cries Over Her New Life In First Interview Since Body Shaming Trial!

Don’t cry for Dani Mathers… because she’s shed enough tears herself!

The Playboy model is still dealing with the fallout from body shaming a 70-year-old woman changing in her gym locker room last July — and she wants everyone to know she’s super duper sorry about it.

In her first interview since the Snapchat snafu sparked mass outrage — along with a police investigation — the 30-year-old revealed how one photo ended up ruining her life.

Speaking to ABC News, Dani fought back tears explaining how she’s been feeling “really low” since the controversy, admitting:

“To hide out at my mother’s house at age 30, because of something I’ve done, it just felt really low.”

Last year, Mathers was banned for life from L.A. Fitness after posting a photo to Snapchat of a naked woman changing in the locker room without her knowledge.

Not only was the model condemned for body shaming, but she also got into a heap of legal trouble. Last Wednesday, Mathers pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of invasion of privacy.

Still, Mathers says she knew what she was doing was “illegal,” and insists she was trying to send the photo to a private conversation with a friend, explaining:

“My intention was to reply to the conversation I was having with my friend. I know the difference between right and wrong and I chose wrong. I didn’t have an intention of breaking a law, but obviously I think hopefully everybody knows it’s illegal to take a photo of somebody without their knowledge. Especially when they’re undressed. So I just wasn’t thinking, to be honest.”

Uh, clearly!

Mathers says while the incident gave her a “backwards” fame she has no intent on celebrating, it also taught her a lot about privacy — specifically, how hers was “taken away after I took someone else’s.”

The 2015 Playmate of the Year also admitted she was never able to directly apologize to the woman she photographed but hopes she can somehow be forgiven. She continued:

“I just want her to be able to move on and move forward in her life, and not feel judged or that what she was doing was being ridiculed, because it had nothing to do with that and I’m so sorry├óΓé¼┬ª I never meant to hurt her. I never ever intended on showing the world this photo. And that I hope that she could forgive me. I don’t expect her to forget. I don’t expect her to like me. I just, I really want her forgiveness.”

As for her future with Playboy, Mathers says she still has a great relationship with the publication; she’s just unable to work for the brand due to the “sensitivity” of the incident.
