Good news for Ariana Grande‘s benefit concert!
It appears as though the bombing at the Manchester Arena has not scared off loyal Arianators as the pop sensation’s “One Love Manchester” charity concert is officially SOLD OUT. AH-Mazing!
As we previously reported last week, the Side To Side singer revealed she was planning a benefit show for those affected by the terrorist attack on May 22 at her concert in the U.K. city. And once it was announced that A-listers like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus would be joining Ari G onstage, it was clear this concert would NOT be one to miss.
So it’s no wonder the charity show sold out in a mere six minutes. Yup, all 45,000 tickets were snatched up not long after they went on sale. The Twitter site for the benefit concert even noted:
UPDATE: One Love Manchester is now completely sold out- and in under 6 minutes!
— One Love Manchester (@1lovemanchester) June 1, 2017
Ticketmaster confirmed this news as they shared in a statement:
“[The site] was unsurprisingly met with remarkable demand for One Love Manchester tickets we had on sale this morning ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ 140,000 fans were on the website and our call centre was buzzing. With over 450,000 searches on our site for One Love Manchester over the last 24 hours, demand was always going to be extremely high.”
Color us impressed.
While fans who were at the original gig have been offered free seats, others were able to secure tickets to the show by paying $52 (├é┬ú40). This is huge since all of the proceeds for the concert, which will take place at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground, is slated to go to the Red Cross‘ Manchester Emergency Fund.
The “One Love Manchester” charity concert is expected to bring in around $2.6 million. Wow.
Be sure to let us know (below) if YOU scored tickets for this highly anticipated show!
