Scumbag, no swiping.
A disgusting excuse for a man (above, left) was arrested on Friday for allegedly stealing a wedding ring and backpack from a victim of the Portland stabbing that took place last week.
Police released surveillance photos of the suspect on Thursday night, showing a white man with a blonde mullet carrying the black backpack of Rick Best (above, right), who was fatally stabbed last Friday after trying to stop another man from harassing two young Muslim women on the MAX train.
Best, a 53-year-old Army veteran, was heading home to his four children in Happy Valley when he was killed.
Officials said the stolen backpack contained “personal items important to the Best family,” including a list of all the people who served with him during his 23 years in the Army.
Portland police announced they had arrested the man on Twitter but did not release any more details about the arrest:

Surveillance footage showed the suspect exiting the MAX train following the attack, carrying Best’s backpack in his right hand and another backpack in his left:
What a creep! Who steals from a murder victim?
Hopefully, Best’s wedding ring was recovered.
