George Clooney‘s dad is one proud grandpa!

While George and his wife Amal Clooney are a relatively private couple, the industry vet’s father is too proud to keep quiet! He’s already giving updates on his grandchildren, Alexander and Ella. Awwww!

Nick Clooney couldn’t help but gush about the latest additions to the Clooney clan as he dished about their birth to FOX19 NOW. Specifically, the American journalist shared:

“Amal, who is Super Woman, she is just amazing. The babies are beautiful, of course, she’s beautiful. She was telling us last week that she is as big as a house. Of course, for her, that’s a very small house. But, she’s great.”

AH-Mazing! Nick, along with his wife Nina, met the twins via Skype only two hours after the human rights lawyer gave birth. And although Alexander and Ella are “doing well,” we’re not sure how George is doing as the 83-year-old joked:

“George, well, his eyes were glazed so I’m not sure that he was sober. We’ll figure that out.”

HIGHlarious! Nick then went on to describe the Clooney twins as “gorgeous” with dark hair. Apparently, the infants already look like their famous poppa. The older Mr. Clooney noted:

“Nina swears they have George’s nose. I don’t know what that means.”

It seems as though the whole Clooney family are just happy to welcome the two kiddos into the world, especially since it wasn’t too long ago that George’s parents thought he’d never settle down and have kids. Nick admitted:

“By golly, when we met Amal, we got that figured out in a hurry. Just as I, George married up.”

So sweet. Amal’s parents, Bara and Ramzi Alamuddin, offered up a similar update on the twins. Mrs. Alamuddin expressed to one French publication:

“We are over the moon. It was a beautiful delivery. The babies are beautiful and are doing well.”

What wonderful news! We honestly couldn’t be happier for George and Amal — congrats again, you two!
