Twitter is fact-checking Elizabeth Banks!

During the 43-year-old star’s acceptance speech at the Women in Film Los Angeles’ Crystal + Lucy Awards on Tuesday night — she spewed some alternative facts when she said Steven Spielberg had never made a movie with a female lead.

ICYMI, the actress told the crowd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel:

“I went to Indiana Jones and Jaws and every movie Steven Spielberg ever made, and by the way, he’s never made a movie with a female lead. Sorry, Steven. I don’t mean to call your ass out but it’s true.”

In fact, out of the 30 feature films the legendary filmmaker has made, there was one with a female lead… The Color Purple, of course!
