We didn’t expect to hear another twist in this Bachelor in Paradise controversy.
So far the scandal is mostly a he said/she said with Corinne Olympios reportedly too drunk to give consent during her sexual encounter with DeMario Jackson, while he says what the cameras captured that day will prove that version of events false.
The wrinkles in the case have come in the form of accounts from other cast and crew members. One of the most harmful to Corinne’s case so far is that of Jasmine Goode, who previously said she didn’t buy the “victim” angle as there was plenty of fully conscious partying after the incident.
Now Jasmine is giving even more details. She told E! News:
“The day of the incident under investigation, Corinne did not display any change in behavior from what was observed by the cast on her season of The Bachelor. Corinne forced herself on three male cast members, when they were unable to consent, in addition to engaging with DeMario.”
Whoa, whoa, whoa!
We had heard another account that claimed Corinne fooled around with castmates Derek Peth, Nick Benvenuth, and Alex Woytkiw after the pool incident. But we’d never heard ANYTHING about them being too drunk to consent.
But Jasmine wasn’t done there. She also implied Corinne’s claims may have been spurred by anger about NOT being able to drink. She recalled:
“After the incident everything seemed fine. There was no mention about being hurt. However, when producers tried to cut her off from drinking, she got upset and said, ‘Watch, watch what I’m gonna do.'”
The producers were trying to cut her off?? According to Jasmine:
“The cast is not encouraged or forced to engage in any behaviors or to drink alcohol. Producers check in to make sure the cast is comfortable and accommodate to the needs requested.”
We’d say she just went from defending DeMario and the show to straight up attacking Corinne.
