Even though a mistrial declared today meant that Bill Cosby‘s high profile sexual assault case didn’t exactly go the way their office wanted, prosecutors in Montgomery (PA) County announced immediately that they are not done.
That is, explicitly, this: Cosby WILL be retried for sexual assault and this will continue being a high-profile case with serious consequences for the disgraced comedian.
Minutes after the mistrial was declared, the news reports already came up on Twitter that prosecutors were far from finished with Cosby (below):

And not only the D.A., but everybody else had a reaction to the mistrial, too.
Cosby’s legal and publicity team walked out of the courtroom feeling very good about themselves, as to be expected. Brian McMonagle, Cosby’s attorney, said to reporters (below):
“Justice is alive in Montgomery County. We wanted an acquittal, but like the Rolling Stones song says, you can’t always get what you want; sometimes you get what you need.”
But that wasn’t what made the biggest news in the aftermath of the mistrial — the story centered on Bill Cosby’s wife Camille.
She prepared a scathing statement for the media that was read aloud by a representative at the impromptu press conference, and it didn’t hold back against the district attorney or the judge, whom she accused of collaborating with the prosecutor.
Here’s the full statement (below):
Definitely NO love lost here. (Not that there would have been in a normal situation, but this is an EXTREMELY contentious case.)
What do U think, Perezcious readers?!
