Ryan Seacrest’s American Idol Contract Negotiations Hit A Snag Over THIS Little Request!

Ryan hasn't signed his 'Idol' contract

Ryan Seacrest‘s contract for the American Idol reboot isn’t a done deal yet!

As we previously reported, the TV personality has been offered somewhere between $10 and $15 million to once again host the celebrated singing competition. While new judge Katy Perry is making significantly more than the 42-year-old, *cough*$25 million*cough*, the industry vet isn’t upset about his paycheck.

Reportedly, negotiations for Ryan’s contract have reached a standstill over the fact that Seacrest wants an executive producer credit in addition to his host title. It’s said Fremantle Media and Core Media are hesitant to hand over that title to Ryan and have been stuck in a stalemate over the issue for the last week. Yikes!

So far, it’s unclear if Seacrest is trying to snag more day-to-day responsibilities. Although, we doubt that’s the case as Ryan is already spread pretty thin thanks to his Live! gig, radio show, production company, etc.

Nonetheless, as the producers are still scrambling to lock in another judge (potentially Lionel Richie), we’re sure they’ll cave and give Ryan what he’s asking for. We mean, it’s hard to imagine Idol WITHOUT Seacrest!
